One of the easiest ways to get involved in Discipling at MBBC is to get acquainted with members who participate in the Print Ministry.
MBBC sees a need for printed materials because the printed word continues to be the method of immediate acceptance by people we hope to reach with the Good News that Jesus Christ loves all people and wants to achieve reconciliation with us.
It is very evident that even something as simple as a small tract can be used by Our Lord to draw people to Him. We find that in many places, such as Panama, for instance, there is a high rate of literacy, and people will read and share printed materials.
The printing ministry has something for everyone to participate in. Some people take things home to fold, or maybe staple, or maybe do both. The beauty of the way we find ourselves organized by Our Lord in these efforts is that anyone can help, young and old, housebound or not, skilled in machine repair, or simply folding and stacking.
Can’t speak Spanish? No big deal. You don’t have to even be able to speak a foreign language to cut tracts out of larger sheets.
Too shy to go on outreach? No problem. The Lord can use your organizational skills to keep the message printed right-side-up on the back of the page.
We use a Gestetner 65309L Copyprinter, which captures image in the way a copy machine does, then makes a drum master for printing with ink.
We also have equipment that we have found over the years as our needs have become known;
- Brackett model 115 shaker
- Pitney Bowes folder
- MBM folder/stapler
- Rapid 106 saddle stitcher
- Chandler & Price cutter
Blessings abound as we work together on a printing project! Join us in reaching the world with the printed word!
