About Mission Blvd. Baptist Church

Mission Boulevard Baptist Church (MBBC) is an Independent, unaffiliated Baptist Church organized from a mission work in 1975 by the Rodgers Baptist Church in Garland, Texas under the leadership of their missionary Brian Disney, who now serves as the MBBC pastor. MBBC has an assembly building and three school buildings located at 2006 Mission Blvd. (Hwy 45) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Being mission minded and dedicated to the Great Commission, MBBC sponsors six of our own missionaries and supports over thirty others around the world. Our ministry to the community includes the Fayetteville Christian School (K3-12). Over three hundred students are educated by qualified, missionary minded, volunteer teachers. Other ministries include drama, music, discipleship, outreach, youth, children’s church, Awana Club, basketball, recovery, and career singles. MBBC is known for its strong ministry of discipleship, warmth, spirituality, biblical teachings, and high level of commitment to ministry. We serve our community, welcome visitors, train Christian leaders, and encourage the saints. If you are looking for a church to serve the Lord, to be refreshed spiritually or to recover from spiritual warfare, to raise a family in a Christ-centered school, and to receive spiritual training and love, visit us this Sunday!

Philosophy of MBBC ministry

Mission: The mission of MBBC is to obey Christ by participating in the Matthew 28:19-20 Great Commission He gave to His church: to seek and to train disciples, baptizing and teaching them in all nations.

Purpose: The purpose of MBBC is to train disciples to train more disciples in order to enlarge the kingdom of God with more souls.

Vision: Our vision for MBBC is to turn the world upside down (Acts 17:6) by following the example of the original church of teaching and preaching Jesus Christ daily in the temple and in every house (Acts 5:42) and by sending discipled missionaries to train disciples in other communities around the world (Acts 13:2-4).

Message: Our message is the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27) in order to make meaningful the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:4). God’s message is summed in John 3:16, ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ Because salvation is by necessity the work of God, Ephesians 2:8-9 declares an important truth saying, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Method: Our method is to continue the tradition of the early church of multiplying disciples in the faith (Acts 6:7) by being examples for others to follow (1 Corinthians 11:1) and continuing stedfastly in the doctrines recorded in God’s Word, in fellowship, in breaking of bread, and in prayers (Acts 2:42). The fruit of this Biblical method of ministry is the development of church-centered, baptized disciples who minister locally and globally as ambassadors and missionaries. Thus, we encourage every member every week to win souls and train disciples without resenting or harboring ill-will towards those who do not.

Validation: Our love for one another validates our personal testimonies of being followers of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” By the love of God we fulfill the first and second great commandments and strive to do all things in the spirit of Christ’s love rather than in the covetous, angry, and spiteful spirit of the flesh. All things done to the glory of God in love validates our witness and ministry.
